Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to Prosewire Cloud and forms part of the Terms of Service. It applies to content, accounts, API use, embeds, automation, and any attempt to use the service.

A self-hosted operator sets and enforces its own acceptable use rules. This policy does not give Prosewire control over an independent deployment.

Do not break the law or another person’s rights

Do not use Prosewire Cloud to:

• violate applicable law, sanctions, or export controls;
• infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
• impersonate a person or organization deceptively;
• publish personal data without a lawful basis, required notice, or permission;
• evade a court order or repeat content that was lawfully removed; or
• support fraud, theft, deceptive schemes, or unlawful transactions.

Do not harm or exploit people

We prohibit content or conduct that:

• sexually exploits or endangers a child;
• credibly threatens violence or encourages imminent physical harm;
• coordinates targeted harassment, stalking, or nonconsensual disclosure of intimate material;
• promotes trafficking or exploitation; or
• collects credentials or sensitive personal data through deception.

Apparent child sexual abuse material may be preserved and reported to the appropriate authority as law permits or requires.

Do not attack systems

Do not distribute malware, phishing pages, credential theft tools, or code intended to gain unauthorized access. Do not probe, scan, or test Prosewire Cloud or another system without authorization.

Do not interfere with service availability, bypass access or rate limits, send abusive automated traffic, conceal the source of attacks, or use the service to control a botnet. Security research must follow the Security page.

Do not abuse publishing or communications

Do not use Cloud for unsolicited bulk messages, deceptive redirects, search manipulation, or pages whose main purpose is to distribute spam. Invitations must go only to people who reasonably expect them.

Do not use public readers or APIs as a general-purpose file host, proxy, or content delivery network unrelated to a Prosewire publication.

Restricted data and high-risk use

Without a written order that expressly allows it, do not store:

• protected health information subject to a health-data law;
• full payment card numbers or authentication data;
• government identification numbers;
• passwords or private keys for another service;
• biometric templates; or
• personal data about criminal allegations, precise location, children, or other highly sensitive matters when Prosewire has not agreed to the required safeguards.

Prosewire Cloud is not designed for emergency services, life support, critical infrastructure control, or a use where failure could cause death or serious injury.

Resource use

Use reasonable request rates and storage volumes for your plan. Do not create accounts or workspaces to avoid limits. We may throttle activity that threatens availability and will try to contact you before a nonurgent limit affects ordinary use.

Enforcement

We consider context, severity, history, and risk. We may ask you to remove content, limit a feature, suspend access, preserve evidence, or terminate an account. Urgent harm may require action before notice. When practical, we will explain the reason and allow an appeal.

We may disclose information to authorities when law requires it or when reasonably necessary to address an imminent threat. We do not promise to monitor all content and do not assume responsibility for customer editorial decisions.

Report abuse or appeal

Email abuse@prosewire.com with “Abuse report” or “Abuse appeal” in the subject. Include the exact URL, workspace or publication if known, a concise explanation, and evidence you are allowed to share. Do not include passwords or management keys.
